To All Race For
A Cure 5K members:
We apologize that we have had to change the date of the race to April 25,
2009. Without question, the Georgia Southern University Race For A Cure 5K
is ON!
After much deliberation and communication with Georgia Southern officials, I
am saddened to say that April 4th is no longer race day. Officials recently
informed us that campus security would not be available to secure all of the
traffic for the race on campus for the original date. As a result, the race
date has been changed to April 25th @ 9:00AM.
We apologize for any inconvenience that this change may cause you as a
registered participant, volunteer, or sponsor. In light of the fact that the
date has changed we are offering full refunds of registration fees upon your
request. To initiate a refund, please let me know.
If you wish to continue participation in the race on the 25th, we welcome
you! Excitedly, race day registration has been extended! Per the original
plan, please know that all proceeds will to be sent to the American Cancer
Society’s national fundraising event Relay for Life.
Race Packet pickup will be held at the
Nursing/Chemistry Bldg Room 1002 on the GSU campus:
Thursday, April 23rd 5:00 - 6:00 P.M.
and
Friday, April 24th, 6:00-7:00 P.M.

the inconvenience of the change in schedule. We hope that you will continue
