10/03/2009 - State Special Olympics, 3K, 5K, & 1 Mile, Statesboro, GA;
Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Mill Creek Park. LOTS OF VOLUNTEERS NEEDED for any portion of the day!! Volunteers needed to meet individual participants as they cross the finish line in heats of 6, record their participant's time on a time card (read off a time clock), escort the participant to the timer's table and turn in the time card, then offer water to he participant and wait with him/her until the awards are staged, quickly after. Each race has only a couple of heats, so volunteers will have a new participant to work with every few heats. Volunteers can sign up for any time slot they wish. They need a volunteer head count ASAP, so please email Tim Chapman at c.tim1122@gmail.com and/or call him at 912.481.0255 cell.
